Locally Grown – A Lexington Co-op Story
This entry is from a past contest, voting is now closed.
“Starting out in a backstreet storefront in 1971, Lexington Co-op’s founding members could have never imagined their little buying club would grow into a pillar of the Buffalo community. Forty years later, Lexington Cooperative Market is now over 7,000 member-owners strong, with owners from all walks of live who have joined together in support of local, natural whole foods. In a time when big box stores and corporations dominate, a little co-op in Buffalo is thriving because people believe in locally grown.”
